Sunday, June 29

No pictures from today... yet. They are all on the cameras. We dispersed for worship this morning at 8:30. We sent groups to three churches, Limonál, Mision del Carribe, and Eduardo Castille. Eduardo had church on the beach along with a bbq and a sweet game of futbol to follow. It rained pretty hard, but not enough to dampen their spirits. We sent a large group to Limonál where Josh preached. Jon Michael and Dustin assisted with the Lord's Supper. A group of ladies took worship to Kristen's home. She is the wife of a teacher at the school who is pregnant and on prescribed bed rest until her baby is due... in NOVEMBER!! They have much going on at this time and would value our prayers. After worship, we went to the homes of some of the members for the noon meal and some good conversation in most cases.
Some resorted to communication through board games, but the cross-cultural fellowship was positive over all. After our evening devotional, we took the annual trip to the downtown ice cream shop. All in all, we had an uplifting day worshipping the Lord, serving his people and resting.

Remember in prayer Darrell and Kristen Steiner, their three girls (Anessa, Azrael, and Scarlet), and their unborn baby boy. Also remember Ariel Bonilla and his family who was mentioned last night. He well get his stitched removed on Monday and begin a battery of tests on Tuesday to determine the extent of his injuries.
